​​​Jana Albritton is a Tennessee licensed teacher for K-8 with a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education, as well as an AMS trained Montessori teacher for Elementary Level 1.  She taught at Hull Jackson Montessori and Belmont University Montessori Teacher Training Program.

Jessica Aumack is a first year teacher in Metro. She received her B.S. Degree from MTSU specializing K-6. She is currently working on a Masters’ Degree  in EL Education at Western Governors University.

Johnna Aumack is a 3rd grade Metropolitan Nashville Public school teacher with over 10 years of experience.  She received her M.A. as a reading specialist from Capella University.  

Heather Beitel is a student at Belmont University, studying History and Secondary Education. She is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and tutors grades 4-8. Additionally, she does high school history as well as other comprehensive subjects.

Rena Boyd is a retired English teacher with over 37 years of experience.  She holds a B.S. in science and English, as well as a M.A. in English; plus, summer advancement at Emory.  Her strengths include preparing students for ACT. 

Shannon Coake is an elementary teacher for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools.  In 2001, she began her teaching career at Goodlettsville Elementary before transitioning as a K-4 teacher in the Encore program for gifted and talented students.  Shannon received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Elementary / Special Education and Instructional Effectiveness.  She attended Western Kentucky University and Trevecca Nazarene University. She loves to spend quality time with her family and friends.  They love to try new restaurants, visit local attractions around Nashville, and enjoy live concerts. Tennessee Crossroads in one of her favorite shows!   Shannon is thrilled to be a part of the HLC family.

Amy Cochran is an Metro Nashville Public Schools elementary school teacher with 24 years’ experience. She holds a B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University in the areas of elementary and exceptional education, an M. Ed from Trevecca Nazarene University in the area of instructional effectiveness, and the Ed.D from Trevecca Nazarene University in educational leadership. She is also certified as a teacher of English Language Learners.  Her specialties include math in grades 2-6 and reading in grades 1-3 (for English and non-English speakers).

Griffin Criste graduated from Belmont University with a B.B.A.  He has 3 plus years experience as the DCA Program Director with Hermitage Learning Center.  Griffin is an accomplished musician; his instrument of choice is the drums.  Core academia focus is 6-12 math, science, and English.

Jane Esslinger is a retired Metropolitan Nashville Public School teacher; her specialty is K – 6.  Jane has been with Hermitage Learning Center for over 3 years.

Arrione Galvin is a certified teacher with over 17 years experience. She received her undergraduate studies from Emory University in Atlanta, Clarriffe University in Lille, France, and University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Arrione received her Master’s degree in Education from Vanderbilt University. Her specializations included English, French 1 thru French 4, Creative Writing, World History, and Nutrition.

Mary Haynes is currently working on her Masters in Education at Western Governor's University. She also has substituted at Holy Rosary Academy for 13 years.

Jeremiah Keene currently teaches 6th grade reading and language arts for Metro Nashville Public Schools. Prior to moving to Nashville, TN he taught middle school for the Knox County School System is Knoxville, TN. He enjoys coaching and developing students personally and academically.

Brenda Ornes has 36 years of experience in education.  Brenda has been teaching at Hermitage Learning Center for nearly 14 years.  She holds a B.S. in math and an M.A. in counseling.  

Mike Sbarra is originally from Totowa, NJ amd is currently a history major. His hobbies are listening to Italian music and watching Italian basketball. His favorite historical event is the moon landing. His favorite quote is "it's Kind of fun to do the impossible"- Walt Disney.

Michelle Strohm graduated in 2011 from Aurora University in Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts. I am certified in grades K-9. I have experience teaching 1st and 2nd grade. My strengths are elementary math and reading. I have been with Hermitage Learning Center for over a year. 

Jenny Swann holds an A.S. with a concentration in physics. She’s been tutoring for over 15 years in math in science at Volunteer Community College and Hermitage Learning Center. 

Amy Taylor graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a B.A. in English.  She has nearly 2 years experience tutoring children and adolescents.  Her core academia focus is k–college freshman English and k-7 English, math, science, and history.

Kimberly Twomey received received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Middle Tennessee State University and her Master’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene University. She received her ELL Certification from David Lipscomb University. She is currently an elementary school teacher for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. Her hobbies include gardening, baking, and exercising. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
